ISSA Woman Evolve Recap Part II , Evolve With Me Sis

🎙 What you'll hear in this episode:

In this deeply personal episode, Jen Talks Tech reflects on her transformative experiences from the Women Evolve conference and details her evolution journey towards clarity, grace, and simplicity.

🔑 A Few Highlights From Episode:💅🏾Life Edits & Personal Evolution

💎 Simplification as a Path to Clarity:

After the conference, I've been focused on simplifying every aspect of my life, which has led to enhanced clarity. Moving with clarity is such a confidence boost and a "living your best life" cheat code.

💎Grace in Progress:

Post-conference, I'm constantly thinking about how I give myself more grace in day-to-day life. It's a work-in-progress but every day I find myself being more forgiving to me and less self-critical.

Recognizing small wins and giving oneself grace during moments of missteps, failures, and setbacks is essential.

💎Embracing My Unique Form:

I deeply resonated with one of Sarah's conference topics and that was the night she poured into us about the importance of "your unique form". After years of struggling with implementing expert advice and trying to adopt what "worked for the experts" I am finally confidently embracing that " I Am The Blueprint" and just have to lean into my unique form. Don't be scared or don't doubt the authenticity and originality in your unique journey, just keep creating your blueprint. The world needs that. You need that!

💎Self- Pacing & Intentionality:

Moving forward, I plan on doing everything at my own pace. Slowly and intentionally releasing content and products, focusing on genuine alignment rather than external pressures.

💌 SAAS Tribe, if you were at Woman Evolve, please top takeaways, favorite moments, and reflections one-month post-conference. I really have to know, how you're evolving out there!

Speaker:

You're listening to the

Talk Your Sass show.

2

:

I'm your host, Jen Talks Tech.

3

:

We're back with another episode.

4

:

I've been away from the podcast for a

little minute just because It's really,

5

:

I've just been doing like a life edit.

6

:

I'm going to explain more

what that is later, but women

7

:

evolve, has life evolving.

8

:

Okay.

9

:

, last episode I talked about my experience.

10

:

It's with Women Evolve and this is going

to be a Women Evolve recap part two.

11

:

More about how Women Evolve, it going

to the Women Evolve conference has

12

:

impacted my life more so than, , in

the last episode, we talked more

13

:

about likes, dislikes, faves.

14

:

Now we're talking about how Women Evolve.

15

:

The conference has me evolving.

16

:

And so I needed a couple of weeks to

really digest this and really think about

17

:

this, , because women evolve was a lot and

it was definitely very impactful, , for

18

:

me, for I'm sure the 40 other, the 39.

19

:

Thousand 999 other women that went to it.

20

:

Y'all see those quick mats?

21

:

Listen.

22

:

, yeah.

23

:

All the other women that went

as well, I'm sure it was, I'm

24

:

sure they're still unpacking.

25

:

I'm sure they're still, , reflecting

on the experience, letting it soak in,

26

:

letting it sink in as we all should.

27

:

And so, I took a little time to

do that, , and to really gather my

28

:

thoughts since being, at Woman Evolved.

29

:

conference.

30

:

So I would say ever since coming back

from the conference, I've been hearing

31

:

God telling me to simplify everything.

32

:

And that's really been the, the theme.

33

:

So I would, I would even say,

I know I started this, this

34

:

year off with my theme word.

35

:

I pick a theme word for every year.

36

:

And my, , sometime I picked two.

37

:

So really it was just about Execution,

that was my execution and yeah, it

38

:

was my theme word for this year, but

ever since coming back from Women

39

:

Evolve, I would say my theme word has

shifted into simplicity and Simplicity

40

:

has been doing an evolution on me.

41

:

, I'm just, I'm trying to simplify

everything in every area of my life.

42

:

So with business, , with content creation,

it has really allowed me to have clarity.

43

:

The simplification of those things in

my mind has allowed me to have way more

44

:

clarity and move with way more clarity.

45

:

And I'm so grateful for that.

46

:

I will say that that's my biggest.

47

:

Take away or the biggest

impact Women Evolved has had on

48

:

me, , thus far from coming back.

49

:

My mind is so clear now.

50

:

, not that I didn't have clarity before, but

I have so much clarity in the direction

51

:

and the decision making, , part of

business and content creation and sharing

52

:

my ideas and sharing my thoughts and.

53

:

Processes and mental models and all

of those things are really things

54

:

that God has been telling me to do.

55

:

And...

56

:

It just seemed very overwhelming.

57

:

, I didn't really have clear direction.

58

:

I didn't have insight.

59

:

And so I was, I had been

praying for that for a while.

60

:

And so now I definitely feel like there

has been a huge shift in my mindset,

61

:

, ever since focusing simplicities.

62

:

So the simplicity has brought

along with it clarity.

63

:

I do think, those two go hand in hand.

64

:

And so, , that has been a major

shift for me, like I said.

65

:

And so, , the other thing that I

was saying about women evolve, , and

66

:

coming back from women evolve, I feel.

67

:

A lot more grace for myself.

68

:

, I would say before, before women

evolved, I would women evolve.

69

:

I don't know why I keep

calling it women evolved.

70

:

I guess it's because it's after

the facts and I do feel like

71

:

we evolved those who went.

72

:

So I, for me, it's like, oh, it's

after the fact we evolved child.

73

:

So I will say that, . Ever since coming

back, I have allowed myself, given

74

:

myself way more grace for the things

that I am not doing, that I want to do.

75

:

And I think that has always been a

struggle for me and I have, I have

76

:

continued to evolve in that area and

not putting so much pressure on myself

77

:

and not putting so much, , focus

Missteps, failures, setbacks, , and

78

:

when I don't do something that I want

to do, let's say manage my time, let's

79

:

say, you know, I missed a couple of

weeks, not putting out an episode.

80

:

I had, I decided to go back to

bi weekly episodes because weekly

81

:

episodes just wasn't cutting it.

82

:

And so for me, , and I know that

that's what the quote unquote experts.

83

:

, people who are high, have

high rank podcasts, people who

84

:

are killing it in this space.

85

:

They're saying weekly episodes, the

more you can do, the more whatever,

86

:

but like that type of pressure

and hustle culture, it really is

87

:

not fitting into everybody's life.

88

:

And I have, I've been giving

myself a ton of grace as far as

89

:

yes, I want to be consistent.

90

:

Yes.

91

:

I'm striving for consistency.

92

:

But I have to acknowledge and celebrate.

93

:

Okay.

94

:

Yeah.

95

:

I might still be in a bi weekly

podcast, but am I, have I been

96

:

consistent in the bi weekly podcast?

97

:

That's just an example.

98

:

Have I been consistent when I said

I was going to post three times a

99

:

week on said platform and I may have

wanted to post four times a week, but

100

:

if I posted three, a win is a win.

101

:

So I, , I'm super grateful and

thankful for that grace, that

102

:

I've just been feeling over the

last month of, , celebrating.

103

:

small wins again and giving myself grace

in small wins, even though it might

104

:

not have, I might not have achieved

everything or the full goal or whatever.

105

:

I should still celebrate and

acknowledge that within myself.

106

:

Also, , one of the things that

I talked about in the last.

107

:

Episode was form.

108

:

, I believe it was the first

night, which was Thursday.

109

:

I feel like of women evolve.

110

:

Um Sarah talked about form.

111

:

And I would say for the last 3 to 4

years, I had really struggled with.

112

:

, I did a ton of work on learning, coaching,

learning how to build a coaching business,

113

:

learning how to build a coaching practice,

all these things, , how to monetize your

114

:

information, your, intellectual property.

115

:

And most of the information, most of

the expert advice, most of the tips.

116

:

Most of the, most of the knowledge

that was out there, people were

117

:

saying, be a coach, create courses.

118

:

And when she started talking about

form, it really hit me because that's,

119

:

I had been feeling for a long time,

struggling against that because that

120

:

is not the, the, the way or the form or

the format that I felt was best for me.

121

:

To deliver my information, to have my

business model, and because I didn't

122

:

really see a lane or I didn't really

see, a kind of like a role model or

123

:

example out there that matched what I

saw in my head, I was kind of following

124

:

a road map or a blueprint of what was

already out there, even though it was

125

:

not aligning with me, and I would say

this year, I've really like Stuck with

126

:

that and have not have been pulling away

from that direction and aligning with

127

:

what I have in my head, even though I

don't know what to call it, even though I

128

:

might not know the format, even though I

might not have the blueprint and I just.

129

:

I just felt really good about that.

130

:

So when she started talking about

form, it really aligned with me.

131

:

And when I say everything has been

falling into place with how I'm supposed

132

:

to be moving in the space of , creating

digital products, assets, whatever,

133

:

being an informationpreneur as, as one

of my favorite people online that I

134

:

can't remember her name right now, cause

I've been following her for a minute.

135

:

, but just leaving it at that, if

it's not defined, it's not defined

136

:

if it's not, if it, if it has a new

form or a new format, if it's never

137

:

been done before, that's fine too.

138

:

That's cool too.

139

:

, so really, I came away with

that with, I am the blueprint

140

:

for what I'm trying to do.

141

:

I came out with blueprint energy

and the piece that I got from that.

142

:

Has been just like life changing,

you know, like when we used to watch

143

:

those cartoons or shows, they used

to be like, ah, like when people

144

:

got stuff, that's how it's been.

145

:

It's been like a huge light bulb, like a

huge energy spark, like a lightning bolt.

146

:

, around some things that I'm going

to be putting out and some things

147

:

that you will see from me very soon.

148

:

But I'm going to be putting it out

very slow because that's another,

149

:

I would say, so my top three things

would be the simplicity, the

150

:

form and the last one is pace.

151

:

, I'm, I was about to say, I'm going

to be putting it out very slowly.

152

:

Everything that I'm doing, I'm putting

it out at my own pace, very slowly,

153

:

not in a format, not following this,

not following that, not, not looking

154

:

at this, but I'm, I'm on the spaghetti

sticking to the wall at this point.

155

:

, and I just feel that that

is the best way for me.

156

:

And what I'm most aligned to.

157

:

So it's going to be very slow rollout.

158

:

, it's going to be very slow and intentional

of what I'm doing, how I'm putting stuff

159

:

out, how I'm moving, how I'm pivoting

and everything that you're going to be

160

:

seeing from the Gentalks tech brand, the

bloomology brand and a new brand that I'm

161

:

not going to announce because I have not.

162

:

I just trademarked it and put it into,

enrolled it into my LLC parent company.

163

:

So we will not share that name,

but I have so much coming out

164

:

and I feel really good about it.

165

:

And I'm very excited to share

it with everybody, SASH drives.

166

:

So you're going to see

it and hear it first.

167

:

172

:

what were your top takeaways, what

were your favorite moments, your

173

:

highlights, and, and your reflections.

174

:

I feel like I'm even more interested in

knowing your reflections now that you've

175

:

sat with, , I guess it's been like a month

post, post woman evolve a month later.

176

:

What are your reflections at this point?

:
